This drum represents the union between woman and wolf: two inseparable forces, gentleness and power, wisdom and instinct.
It is handcrafted according to the Innu tradition, using deer hide from Quebec and a natural wood frame harvested from Nitassinan.
On the skin, I hand-painted the face of a woman wearing the head of a wolf.
This image symbolizes the connection between the feminine spirit and the guardian animal.
She embodies clairvoyance, inner freedom, and the alliance between the visible and invisible worlds.
Each stroke is executed with intention, like a prayer for the balance between strength and compassion.
The sound of the drum is deep, bass, and vibrant.
It accompanies meditation, healing, and ceremonies.
Each heartbeat echoes Mother Earth and reminds us of the importance of listening to our intuition, our inner voice, and our instincts.
Each drum is unique. The natural nuances of the skin, wood, and paint make it a living work of art, impossible to reproduce.

Coming from a line of Innu drummers, I perpetuate sacred knowledge passed down by my ancestors.
In my culture, only the carriers can make these drums.
Each creation is crafted with respect for the land, life, and spirit that inspires me.
