Collection: Authentic Ilnu Plants of the Land – Spiritual Allies and Offerings
Certified Authenticity & Deep Connection:
Indigenous peoples have always maintained a deep connection with the plants of the land. They are not just remedies: they are spiritual allies, teachers, and offerings to Mother Earth.
This collection is curated by Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan, a Certified Ilnu Artisan (First Nations, Canada). This guarantees that all shared traditions and harvests are genuine and respectful of ancestral teachings.
I choose each plant carefully, according to the seasons and natural cycles.
Featured: Labrador Tea
Among them, Labrador tea (Ledum groenlandicum), hand-picked on Nitassinan (ancestral Ilnu territory), occupies a special place. Known for its purifying and soothing properties, it accompanies moments of contemplation, ceremonies, and healing rituals. Its woody and resinous flavor is reminiscent of the boreal forest, moss, wind, and silence. It invites us to slow down, to breathe, and to reconnect with what is essential.
In this section, I share plants and traditions from my cultural heritage, always with deep respect for the land and the life it shelters.
