This drum represents the eagle, messenger of the Great Spirit and symbol of clear vision.
It is handcrafted according to Innu traditions, with deer hide from Quebec and a natural wood frame harvested from Nitassinan.
The hand-painted eagle embodies wisdom, freedom, and spiritual strength.
It connects Earth to Heaven, carrying prayers to the spirit world.
Each brushstroke follows an intention, each color conveys a vibration.
I paint these designs according to the visions and messages received during the creation process, so that the drum finds its right resonance with the person for whom it is intended.
Its timbre is deep, profound, and conveys peace.
It accompanies meditation, ceremonies, and moments of prayer.
With each beat, it reminds us that the eagle is watching, inviting us to rise above the tumult and listen to the voice of the wind.

Coming from a line of Innu drummers, I perpetuate sacred knowledge passed down by my ancestors.
In my culture, only the carriers can make these drums.
Each one is a spiritual work, shaped with respect for the land, life and traditions.
✨Created and signed by Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan, Innu craftsman and drummer.
