This drum bears the image of a buffalo skull, an ancestral symbol of strength, gratitude, and abundance.
It is handcrafted according to Innu traditions, with deer hide from Quebec stretched over a natural wood frame harvested from Nitassinan.
In indigenous culture, the buffalo represents prosperity, answered prayer, and respect for life.
Its hand-painted skull is reminiscent of ancient rituals of gratitude towards Mother Earth and nurturing animals.
Each brushstroke is placed with intention, to honor the memory and power of life.
The sound of the drum is deep and vibrant.
It accompanies ceremonies, meditation, and spiritual practices.
Each heartbeat evokes the quiet strength of the buffalo, humility before nature, and gratitude for the gifts of the land.
Each drum is unique. The natural nuances of the skin and wood, combined with the gesture of painting, create a work of art in its own right.
None are identical, because each one carries its own unique energy.
