Indigenous drum made of hand-painted deer hide – Spiritual Wolf, Innu creation

This drum bears the image of the wolf, messenger of instinct and guardian of the pack.

It is handcrafted according to Innu traditions, using deer hide from Quebec and a natural wood frame harvested from Nitassinan.

The wolf I hand-painted symbolizes loyalty, inner strength, and guidance.

He represents the protective spirit that watches over his own, the one who knows when to advance and when to withdraw.

Each brushstroke is placed with intention, in connection with the visions and energy of the moment.

Its timbre is deep and vibrant.

It accompanies meditation, ceremonies, and moments of inner silence.

With each beat, it invites us to listen to our own voice, that of the heart and of the land.

Each drum is unique. The natural variations in the skin and wood make it a living and irreplaceable work of art.

I harmonize them so that they find their balance between matter and spirit, between human and animal.

Coming from a family of Innu drummers, I perpetuate sacred knowledge passed down by my ancestors.

In my culture, only the carriers can make these drums.
