A unique artistic signature: Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan is the only Indigenous artist to create this type of dreamcatcher with a fox head, blending natural materials, cultural symbolism, and traditional know-how

I created The Silence of the Silver Fox by drawing inspiration from those moments when the forest becomes completely still.

Sometimes, in the early morning, everything stops: the wind dies down, the branches cease to move, and you simply sense a presence. It's often in those moments that I think of the silver fox.

In my Innu culture, the fox is a discreet messenger, a guide who never shows himself for no reason.

His silence is not empty: he observes, he understands, he allows space for intuition. It is this impression of calm and clarity that I wanted to convey in this work.

Each piece is carefully handcrafted.

The silver fox represents, for me, beauty in simplicity, resilience and balance.

This dreamcatcher is a work that combines respect for materials with a sincere intention: to create an object that carries meaning and peace.

My approach

I always work with respect for nature and traditions .

Each creation is entirely handmade, here in Quebec, according to the Innu teachings passed down in my family.

No two works are identical:

• the color of the coat,

• the texture of the wood,

• the arrangement of the feathers,

• the energy of the moment of creation…

Everything varies depending on what nature provides.

This dreamcatcher is distinguished in particular by the rarity of the silver fox , whose beauty and natural light make it a truly special piece.

Created and signed by me, Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan, Innu craftsman from Quebec.
