The story of NativeSpiritCrafts

L’histoire de NativeSpiritCrafts

Every creation begins with a story — a story of roots, spirit, and connection.

NativeSpiritCrafts was born from the encounter between ancestral knowledge and the desire to share authentic indigenous art with the world.

🌿 Origins and vision

Founded by Innu craftsman Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan, the brand was born in the heart of the Nitassinan forests in Quebec.

Each piece — whether it be a dreamcatcher, a medicine bag or a spiritual object — is handcrafted from natural materials harvested with respect for the land.

The vision is simple: to create works that carry both the energy of the earth and the spirit of traditions.

🔥 The meaning of the name

NativeSpiritCrafts unites three powerful words:

  • Native — a tribute to indigenous roots and identity.
  • Spirit — the invisible force that guides creation.
  • Crafts — craftsmanship, this link between the hand and matter.

Together, they form a bridge between ancestral heritage and contemporary creativity.

🌎 A message from the craftsman

Every feather, every piece of leather and every stone I use carries a story.”

My intention is to let these elements express themselves — to remind us that art is a path to healing and memory.

—Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan

A universal connection

Through NativeSpiritCrafts, the spirit of Nitassinan travels beyond borders.

Each creation becomes a link between peoples, an invitation to reconnect with authenticity, respect and the beauty of the gesture.
